Ghana defender Habib Mohammed snatched a later equaliser as the Black Meteors secured a 1-1 draw with Cameroon in their opening game of the Africa U23 Cup of Nations in Egypt.

 

Bayern Munich youngster Franck Evina opened the scoring for the young Indomitable Lions but the Asante Kotoko centre-back scored three minutes to full-time to level the score at Cairo International Stadium.

The Indomitable Lions took the lead in the 59th minute through a sumptuous free-kick delivered by Evina. The 19-year-old's curler nestled into the top corner of the net.

Habib's equalizer- three minutes from time- was from close range after a deflected long ball found him.

The result left the two tournament debutants with a point apiece after the Group A fixture.
