Ghana striker Majeed Waris has ompleted his move from FC Porto to Strasbourg on a six-month deal, with an option to extend for a further two years.

A deal between the two clubs was agreed on Thursday, with Strasbourg paying €2m at the end of this loan spell for, at which point he will sign an initial two-year contract with RCSA.

This will mark Waris’ fourth stint in Ligue 1, having played for Valenciennes in 2014, Lorient between 2015 and 2018, and Nantes last term.

He will share the pitch with Ivory Coast’s Lamine Kone, South African forward Lebo Mothiba and Cape Verdean striker Nuno da Costa, as his African teammates.

To date, the Ghanaian international (31 caps, 4 goals) has played a total of 105 Ligue 1 games for 35 goals and 12 assists.
