Kwame Bonsu has won the Tunisian league after his side Espérance Tunis secured their 30th league title on Sunday.

Espérance drew 1-1 with SC Chebba, a result which was enough to ensure that the Moïn Chaâbani’s men wrap up the league title with three games to go.

Bonsu played in the first half of the game and was substituted in the second half as he enjoyed his first league success with his new club.

He has now became the fifth Ghanaian player to win the Tunisian league, after Harrison Afful won the league four times with Espérance, Seidu Salifu won the league in 2014/15 with Club Africain, Moussa Narry and Sadat Bukari lifted the Tunisian league trophy with Étoile Sportive du Sahel in 2006/07.

Espérance are still unbeaten in the league this season and have a nine point lead plus a healthy goal difference of +23.
